Lotte Tour Development announced on the 3rd that the first VIP charter flight for casino customers between Japan and Jeju will operate on the 4th.
Lotte Tour Development stated that on the 4th and the 30th of next month, it will independently operate exclusive charter flights connecting Tokyo, Japan, and Jeju for casino customers. This is the first time that Japanese casino VIPs will visit Jeju on a dedicated charter flight using a large national airline. Lotte Tour Development expects that "with the operation of the charter flights, the number of Japanese tourists visiting Jeju without passing through the mainland and without a visa will increase."
They also explained that there is great anticipation due to the expansion of international flights connecting Jeju with overseas destinations such as Japan and Hong Kong. Lotte Tour Development said, "Regular flights have been expanded to 26 times weekly, including Jeju-Fukuoka, Japan (3 times a week), Jeju-Tokyo, Japan (3 times a week), Jeju-Osaka, Japan (7 times a week), and Jeju-Hong Kong (8 times a week). Adding the Taiwan route, which will open on December 1st, to the already resumed Singapore, Bangkok, Thailand, and Xi'an, China routes, the number of international flights at Jeju Airport will increase from 15 times a week to 41 times a week."
