Gwangju Seo-gu Urges Subscription to 'Pungsuhae Insurance'... Up to 92% Premium Support Provided
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Shin Dong-ho] Seo-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City (Mayor Kim I-gang) is actively encouraging residents to subscribe to flood and typhoon insurance to minimize property damage caused by natural disasters.
According to Seo-gu on the 2nd, "Flood and Typhoon Insurance" is a policy insurance that compensates for property damage caused by natural disasters such as typhoons, heavy rain, heavy snow, and earthquakes.
Additionally, part of the total insurance premium is supported by the government and local governments, making it possible to subscribe at an affordable premium, with differential support applied from a minimum of 70% to a maximum of 92% depending on the subscription target.
The subscription targets have been expanded from existing houses and greenhouses to include stores and factories operated by small business owners, allowing more citizens to benefit.
In particular, for stores and factories, 70% of the insurance premium is supported, alleviating the economic burden on relatively small-scale small business owners.
Subscription to flood and typhoon insurance is possible through each insurance company's website, and for more details, inquiries can be made to the National Disaster Safety Portal or private insurance companies.
A Seo-gu official said, "Natural disasters often occur unexpectedly and have a high probability of causing widespread damage," adding, "We hope many residents subscribe to flood and typhoon insurance to help protect their property and families from unforeseen natural disasters."
