Park Ji-hyun "There is a control tower behind the concealment, downplaying, and evasion of responsibility for the Itaewon disaster... We must find the orchestrator first"
Multiple Apologies Before Release of 112 Transcript
"Sufficient to Assume There Is a Manipulator"
[Asia Economy Reporter Naju-seok] Park Ji-hyun, former Emergency Committee Chairperson of the Democratic Party of Korea, stated on the 2nd, "There was a control tower behind the concealment, minimization, and evasion of responsibility," and insisted, "We must find this orchestrator first."
On the same day, through social media (SNS), former Chairperson Park asserted, "Now we must proceed with fact-finding and punishment of those responsible," adding, "This is the true way to mourn the victims."
She said, "Someone is obstructing the fact-finding and meticulously orchestrating concealment, minimization, and evasion of responsibility," and emphasized, "We must definitely find this meticulous and calculating orchestrator who controls the situation like moving the joints of a marionette puppet, the one responsible for manipulation to evade responsibility."
Former Chairperson Park pointed out the intention behind using expressions such as 'deceased' instead of 'victims,' 'accident' instead of 'disaster,' and 'event' instead of 'festival,' saying, "They created guidelines not to write 'mourning' and not to create an atmosphere that this is something to be sorrowful about."

She criticized, "The minister, mayor, district chief, and police chief, who had never apologized claiming no responsibility, all apologized one after another just before the 112 call recording was released yesterday," and added, "This is enough to suspect that there is an orchestrator who both prevented and forced the apologies."
