Yoon Orders "Emergency NSC Meeting" in Response to North Korean Ballistic Missile Provocation
One Ballistic Missile Lands in International Waters South of the NLL
[Asia Economy Reporter Ki-min Lee] President Yoon Suk-yeol convened an emergency National Security Council (NSC) meeting on the 2nd in response to North Korea's ballistic missile launch.
The Presidential Spokesperson's Office announced at 9:15 a.m. that day, "Following North Korea's ballistic missile provocation a short while ago, President Yoon has ordered the convening of an emergency NSC meeting."
The Joint Chiefs of Staff stated that one of the ballistic missiles launched by North Korea into the East Sea this morning fell into international waters while heading in the direction of Ulleungdo.

The Joint Chiefs explained, "At around 8:51 a.m. today, our military detected three short-range ballistic missiles launched by North Korea from the Wonsan area in Gangwon Province into the East Sea, and one of them landed in international waters south of the East Sea NLL (Northern Limit Line)."
