‘Wando Must-Visit Places’ Tourism Photo Contest Held
Ongoing Until November 30, December Award Winners Announcement and Ceremony
[Wando=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Kyung-pil] Jeonnam Wando-gun announced on the 2nd that it will hold a "Wando Must-Visit Places" tourism photo contest throughout November to discover and promote Wando-gun's unique and differentiated tourism resources, such as beautiful natural scenery, lesser-known tourist attractions, restaurants, cafes, and accommodations.
The theme of the tourism photo contest is "Wando Must-Visit Places I Recommend," featuring various tourism resources of Wando. Photos must have been taken after January 2021 and must be unpublished works.
Anyone who is a citizen of the Republic of Korea is eligible to participate, and each individual or team can submit up to three entries. Submissions can be made in person at the Wando-gun Office Tourism Policy Team, by mail, or via email.
In early December, entries will be judged based on suitability, artistic quality, creativity, and usability, with winners announced and an awards ceremony held in December.
The awards include 1 Grand Prize (prize money 1,000,000 KRW), 2 Excellence Awards (prize money 500,000 KRW each), 8 Merit Awards (prize money 300,000 KRW each), 10 Encouragement Awards (prize money 200,000 KRW each), and 30 Honorable Mentions (prize money 100,000 KRW each), totaling 51 awards.
A county official stated, "Through this tourism photo contest, we will actively utilize the discovered lesser-known must-visit places for tourism promotion and marketing, contributing to attracting tourists."
