Cadmium Exceeding Limits Detected in 'Gimbap Gim'…MFDS Suspends Sales and Recalls
[Asia Economy Reporter Byun Seon-jin] The Ministry of Food and Drug Safety announced on the 1st that cadmium, a heavy metal, was detected at 0.4 mg/kg, exceeding the standard limit (0.3 mg/kg or less), in the 'Twice Roasted Gimbap Gim' manufactured and sold by Mirim Mulsan, and that sales of the product will be suspended and a recall will be conducted.
The recall target is the product labeled with an expiration date of October 6, 2023.
The Ministry of Food and Drug Safety has taken measures to promptly recall the product and requested consumers who purchased the product to stop consumption and return it to the place of purchase.
