Foxconn Increases Bonuses Fourfold at Zhengzhou Plant Amid 'COVID-19 Mass Exodus'
[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Je-hoon] On the 1st, major foreign media reported, citing the WeChat account of Foxconn's Zhengzhou factory, that Foxconn has quadrupled the bonuses provided to employees at its Zhengzhou factory in Henan Province, China, which has been locked down due to the spread of COVID-19.
According to the report, the daily bonus for employees manufacturing electronic products such as smartphones at the Zhengzhou factory was raised from 100 yuan (19,000 KRW) to 400 yuan (77,000 KRW). Additionally, employees who work more than 25 days a month can receive a maximum monthly bonus of 5,000 yuan (970,000 KRW).
