This campaign was carried out as a promotional campaign for the COVID-19 winter additional vaccination together with the Yeongam-gun Folk Ssireum Team at the ‘47th Yeongam-gun Residents' Day’ event held on the 29th of last month at Yeongam-eup General Public Stadium.
The campaign was conducted to inform about the additional vaccination in preparation for the winter COVID-19 resurgence, as the target for the winter COVID-19 vaccine additional vaccination has been expanded from the existing elderly aged 60 and over, immunocompromised persons aged 18 and over, and residents and workers of infection-vulnerable facilities to adults aged 18 and over.
Public health center staff actively promoted COVID-19 prevention by distributing promotional leaflets and items related to additional vaccination on site and providing advance reservation services.
Additional vaccination is possible after four months have passed from the final vaccination date or the confirmed infection date, following the completion of the basic vaccination (1st and 2nd doses). The Moderna BA.1-based bivalent vaccine, which is already being administered, has been available for vaccination since the 27th.
Reservation vaccinations will begin on the 7th. Advance reservations can be made online (through the Vaccination Reservation System website) or via the public health center call center, and same-day vaccinations can be received by reserving leftover vaccines through SNS (KakaoTalk, Naver) or by contacting medical institutions by phone.

A public health center official said, “To prepare for the twin-demic where COVID-19 and influenza spread simultaneously in winter, it is very important to receive the COVID-19 winter additional vaccination and influenza vaccination,” and added, “We hope everyone actively participates in vaccinations for the safety of their families and neighbors.”
