[Asia Economy Reporter Kwon Jae-hee] Despite the sluggish semiconductor market and the weakness in the global semiconductor sector, Samsung Electronics recorded an early session rise of over 1%, surpassing 60,000 KRW during the trading session.
As of 9:33 AM on the 1st, Samsung Electronics was trading at 60,100 KRW on the Korea Composite Stock Price Index (KOSPI), up 1.18% from the previous trading day.
The Philadelphia Semiconductor Index closed down 2.02% the previous day. Semiconductor-related stocks such as Nvidia (-2.44%), Intel (-2.20%), and AMD (-3.14%) all closed lower.
