View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] The Small and Medium Business Corporation (Chairman Kim Hak-do, hereinafter referred to as SBC) announced on the 31st that it has signed a business agreement with Korea South-East Power Co., Ltd. to support structural innovation for small and medium-sized venture companies responding to carbon neutrality.
This year, SBC is promoting a structural innovation support project to help small and medium-sized venture companies successfully transition to new businesses in response to changes in the industrial environment such as digitalization and carbon neutrality, in collaboration with the Ministry of SMEs and Startups and the Ministry of Employment and Labor. It provides diagnostic consulting and links various policy projects to support business, labor, and digital transformation for companies wishing to switch to new industries.
On this day, both organizations agreed on the necessity of proactive structural innovation support to create continuous growth momentum for partner small and medium-sized enterprises facing transition crises such as carbon neutrality. SBC and Korea South-East Power agreed to actively cooperate centered on the ‘Structural Innovation Support Project’ in areas including ▲joint discovery of structural innovation demand in the carbon neutrality sector ▲discovery and improvement of policies and regulations in the carbon neutrality sector ▲linkage with carbon neutrality smart factories ▲inter-agency project linkage to enhance support performance ▲long-term retention support for key personnel of partner companies ▲nurturing successful structural innovation companies and discovering excellent collaboration cases.

Both organizations are currently conducting pilot structural innovation diagnosis and consulting for 15 partner companies of Korea South-East Power. Based on this business agreement, SBC plans to establish a virtuous cycle system for structural innovation in the carbon neutrality sector and gradually expand to other industrial sectors. Kim Hak-do, Chairman of SBC, said, "SBC, a comprehensive support organization for small and medium-sized ventures, has joined forces with Korea South-East Power, a leader in the new energy industry, to support structural innovation and carbon neutrality and green growth for small and medium-sized ventures." He added, "Going forward, SBC will strengthen the structural innovation ecosystem for small and medium-sized ventures by expanding cooperative relationships with specialized institutions in various industrial fields."
