Geumok Lim, CEO of bhc Group, “We Will Create the World’s Finest Burger Dining Experience”
[Asia Economy Reporter Hye-won Moon] “We will captivate customers’ taste buds with the world’s finest burger dining boasting the highest quality.”
Geumok Lim, CEO of bhc Group, made this statement at a media tasting event held on the 31st, one day before the opening of the ‘Super Duper’ Gangnam branch located near Sinnonhyeon Station in Seocho-gu, Seoul.
Super Duper is a premium handmade burger brand representing the western U.S. region, San Francisco, and is considered one of the top three American burgers alongside In-N-Out and Shake Shack. It differentiates its taste with juicy natural beef patties and special-made buns that best complement the Super Duper patties. Using Super Duper’s unique American local special super sauce, homemade pickles, and fresh ingredients, it embodies the value of slow food.
To faithfully reproduce Super Duper’s original taste, bhc Group not only uses beef patty raw materials sourced directly from the U.S. but also sent its R&D researchers to visit the patty factory in the U.S. to learn patty processing techniques firsthand.
CEO Lim emphasized, “The Super Duper Gangnam branch embodies the value of slow food, presenting the best burgers without compromise. We will captivate customers’ taste buds by offering authentic American flavors alongside various menus tailored to Korean preferences.”
The burgers sampled at the event were all outstanding for their clean, juicy flavors. The signature Super Single Burger stood out with its bun generously sprinkled with sesame seeds, offering a savory taste compared to other brands. The Truffle Burger, harmonizing truffle butter and saut?ed portobello mushrooms, was rich in aroma and an excellent appetite stimulant. The Bacon Egg On Burger, topped with a generous fried egg, was not only delicious?especially when breaking the yolk before eating?but also visually stunning with its vibrant colors.
The Gangnam branch offers seven types of burgers and four side menus, along with beverages such as shakes, sparkling drinks, and coffee. Burger prices range from 8,900 KRW to 13,900 KRW, providing a diverse lineup to broaden consumer choices.
The Gangnam branch is the first global store to open outside the U.S. region. It has a total seating capacity of 120 with a two-story layout, featuring a modern and sophisticated interior with orange tones and warm lighting, creating a lively atmosphere where customers can comfortably enjoy burgers while feeling the authentic San Francisco vibe.
Menu orders can be conveniently placed through kiosks.
Super Duper is also planning to open a second branch near COEX in Gangnam-gu, Seoul. Although the opening date is not yet decided, it is expected to be around the end of this year or early next year.
