Goodbye Kakao... Upbit Introduces Enhanced Security with Proprietary Login System
Starting Next Month 21, Only Upbit Login Will Be Available
[Asia Economy Reporter Myunghwan Lee] Cryptocurrency exchange Upbit has introduced its own login system with significantly enhanced security.
Dunamu, the operator of Upbit, announced on the 31st that it has implemented the 'Upbit Login' method, replacing existing social logins such as Kakao and Apple ID login.
From today, Upbit users can log in to the Upbit application (app) through 'Upbit Login.' Dunamu will allow users to switch login methods by permitting the existing social logins until November 20. However, from November 21, login will only be possible through 'Upbit Login.'
According to Dunamu, 'Upbit Login' features enhanced security. Upbit users do not need to install separate programs or apps to log in. Login is possible with just a PIN password (6 digits) issued through identity verification or biometric authentication (Face ID, fingerprint).

A Dunamu official said, "Through the new login method, users will be able to use Upbit more easily and conveniently," adding, "Security has also been strengthened, allowing valuable assets to be traded safely."
