[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Chun-hee] Russian President Vladimir Putin sent a condolence message to President Yoon Suk-yeol regarding the Itaewon tragedy.
According to the condolence message posted on the Kremlin website on the 30th (local time), President Putin expressed "deep condolences for the tragic accident in Seoul that claimed many lives," and conveyed to President Yoon, "I hope you extend sincere sympathy and support to the families and friends of the victims, and wishes for a speedy recovery to the injured."
Among the 153 people who died in this incident, it is known that three were Russian nationals. Including them, 20 foreigners from countries such as China, Iran, the United States, and France also lost their lives.
