According to political circles on the 30th, the 6th High-level Party-Government Council scheduled for that afternoon was canceled.
At this high-level party-government meeting, the People Power Party, the government, and the Presidential Office were to attend to assess the financial market instability triggered by the 'Legoland incident' and discuss countermeasures.
Earlier, when the government faced a liquidity crunch in the financial market due to the 'Legoland incident,' it announced over the past weekend that it would operate a liquidity supply program worth '50 trillion won + α,' but market instability has not easily subsided. Therefore, follow-up measures were to be discussed through the party-government meeting.
Joo Ho-young, floor leader of the People Power Party, also requested party members, "Please suspend all political activities, including constituency activities. Actively cooperate in handling the accident."
Park Hong-geun, floor leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, also asked members on the same day, "Please refrain from unnecessary public activities or private gatherings for the time being, and especially stop drinking or hobby activities. Please request local government heads affiliated with our party to fully cancel festival-related events."
He also said, "Please carefully manage the statements or social network service (SNS) posts of members, affiliated local councilors, and aides," and "Please promptly remove political slogan banners posted on the streets in the name of members or the party."
