CLUBD-KGA, Agreement to Host the 'CLUBD Amateur Eco Championship'

View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Park So-yeon] A new 'major amateur' golf tournament aimed at nurturing promising golf talents who will lead the future of golf in South Korea will be newly established next year.
The Korea Golf Association (KGA) and CLUBD, a golf club brand operated by Ido Co., Ltd., held a signing ceremony on the 27th to host the 'CLUBD Amateur EcoChampionship' golf tournament.
The 'CLUBD Amateur EcoChampionship' is an event prepared to nurture young talents who will lead the future of Korean golf and to promote the development of the golf industry.
The tournament is scheduled to be held at one of the CLUBD golf courses, including CLUBD Boeun (18 holes) and Songnisan (18 holes) in Chungbuk, CLUBD Geumgang (18 holes) in Jeonbuk, or CLUBD Geochang (27 holes) in Gyeongnam, in June 2023.
The CLUBD Amateur EcoChampionship will be played over 4 rounds and 72 holes, divided into men's and women's championship divisions, using the stroke play format.
It will be conducted as part of the national team and reserve team selection tournaments, alongside major amateur competitions such as the Songam Cup Amateur Golf Championship and the Heo Jeong-gu Cup Korean Amateur Golf Championship.
