Shinsegae I&C Appoints Hyung Taejun, Vice President of Emart, as CEO Designate
[Asia Economy Reporter Jeon Jinyoung] Hyung Taejun, Head of Emart Sustainable Innovation Center and Vice President, has been appointed as CEO of Shinsegae I&C on the 27th.
Shinsegae Group announced the 2023 regular executive personnel changes including this appointment on the same day.
CEO Hyung has built extensive expertise in the strategic planning sector.
Born in December 1968 in Jongno-gu, Seoul, CEO Hyung graduated from Seoul National University with a degree in Business Administration.
He joined Emart in 2012, took charge of strategic planning at Shinsegae Strategy Office's Planning Team in 2013, and served as Senior Executive Director in charge of planning and management at Emart's Management Support Headquarters in 2015.

In 2020, he served as Vice President overseeing management at Shinsegae Strategy Office, and in 2021, he was Vice President and Head of Emart Sustainable Innovation Center. Through this personnel change, he will assume the position of CEO at Shinsegae I&C.
