Gyeongbuk Provincial Council Member Nam Young-sook Receives 'Best Local Assembly Member Award' at Korea Agriculture Awards

Nam Young-sook was awarded by the Korea Rural Leaders Central Association at the 75th Korea Rural Leaders Conference held on the 26th at Jindo Public Stadium in Jindo-gun, Jeollanam-do.
The Korea Agriculture Awards have been given since 2019 to individuals who have contributed to the development of agriculture and the protection of farmers' rights.
From July 2018 to October 2022, Nam served continuously as a member of the Agriculture and Fisheries Committee of the Gyeongbuk Provincial Council for about 4 years and 3 months, and since July, she has been leading the 12th term first half Agriculture and Fisheries Committee as the first female standing committee chairperson in the Gyeongbuk Provincial Council.

Nam said, "Having served as a member of the Sangju City Council and the Gyeongsangbuk-do Provincial Council for 16 years, I have utilized my field experience to do my best to care for the difficulties of farmers as a member of the Agriculture and Fisheries Committee," adding, "In these difficult times such as the COVID-19 pandemic, I will continue to communicate with local residents to alleviate the concerns of our Gyeongbuk farmers even a little."
