Poet Yu Hyun-a Honored with the 'Beautiful Writer Award' Selected by the Korean Writers' Association
[Asia Economy Reporter Seo Mideum] Poet Yoo Hyun-ah has been honored with the 21st "Beautiful Writer Award" selected by the Korean Writers' Association. Poets Min Gu and Yang Anda were chosen for the 7th "Tomorrow's Korean Writer Award."
The Beautiful Writer Award is organized by the Young Writers' Forum of the Korean Writers' Association and is an award that young writers dedicate from the heart to their senior writers.
This year's awardee, poet Yoo Hyun-ah, has met readers through poetry collections such as Anyone Can Be an Office Worker, and Everyone Else, How to Make Your Timidity Disappear, and the art essay I Was Here.
Min Gu, the recipient of the Tomorrow's Korean Writer Award, debuted in 2009 through the Chosun Ilbo New Year's Literary Contest and has published poetry collections The Ship Goes Up the Mountain and Summer Is Needed When You Come.
Co-recipient Yang Anda debuted in 2014 with Hyundae Munhak, writing poetry collections such as The Book of a Small Future and Forever by the Rumors of the White Night. She is active in the creative group "Ppul."
Additionally, the Korean Writers' Association selected Jo Hee (poetry category), who submitted five works including Exile Beyond the Mirror, Kim Hyun-joo (children's poetry category), who submitted four works including You, and Jang Eun-yoo (children's story category), who submitted Three Moms, for the 21st "Writers Opening Tomorrow" Newcomer Award. No recipients were selected in the criticism and novel categories.

The award ceremony will be held on December 3rd at 4 p.m. in the seminar room on the 6th floor of Mapo Central Library in Seoul.
