View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Bo-kyung] Nearly 1,000 women entrepreneurs gathered in one place to build networking and seek ways to strengthen global competitiveness.
The Korea Women Entrepreneurs Association held the "2022 National Women CEO Management Training - The Era of the Great Transformation of 3 Million Women Enterprises" on the 26th at the Ulsan Exhibition & Convention Center (UECO).
Sponsored by Ulsan City, this event, held over one night and two days from the 26th to the 27th, was attended by about 1,000 women CEOs from across the country and key guests. Following the opening remarks by Lee Jeong-han, president of the Women Entrepreneurs Association, welcoming remarks were given by Seo Jeong-wook, Vice Mayor of Ulsan Metropolitan City, and congratulatory speeches by Han Mu-gyeong, member of the People Power Party.
At the keynote lecture, Lee Young, Minister of SMEs and Startups, delivered a speech on "The New Government's SME Policy Direction - The Digital Transformation Era with Women CEOs," covering major SME policy directions and key projects for the digital transformation of women-owned businesses.
In the invited lecture, film critic Lee Seung-jae gave a talk titled "Communication and Empathy Learned from a 10 Million Viewer Movie," discussing various communication techniques.
On the day, an induction ceremony was held for six young women CEOs who graduated from the Youth Startup Academy of the Small and Medium Business Corporation. Additionally, a sponsorship fund of 50 million KRW was raised to foster future women CEOs, and scholarship certificates were awarded to female students from specialized high schools.
Consultations on management difficulties faced by women entrepreneurs and job matching services were also provided. Through prior registration, about 200 women entrepreneurs received one-on-one consultations with field experts on domestic and international market access, financing, human resources, startups, and more.
