Seogwipo Fire Station Conducts 'CPR Training' at Senior Support Center
[Jeju=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Jeongpil] The Seogwipo Fire Station of Jeju Special Self-Governing Province (Chief Kim Jihyung) announced on the 26th that it conducted cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) training for about 30 employees at the Senior Support Center auditorium on the 25th in celebration of the Month of the Elderly.
This training was organized to increase the importance of initial emergency treatment and the rate of CPR performed by first responders ahead of the winter season, when cerebrovascular diseases and sudden cardiac arrest occurrences increase.
The training included the necessity of CPR education, legal aspects related to CPR, theoretical education and practice, and distribution of promotional materials.
Chief Kim Jihyung said, “Golden time is crucial for cardiovascular diseases, and CPR must be performed within 4 minutes if cardiac arrest occurs,” adding, “We hope for much interest and participation from the residents regarding the importance of CPR.”
