Lotte Chilsung Beverage launches 'Baekhwa'... "100% Domestic Rice Pure Rice Wine"
[Asia Economy Reporter Song Seung-yoon] Lotte Chilsung Beverage announced on the 26th that it has launched ‘Baekhwa,’ a pure rice cheongju made from 100% domestically produced rice.
Baekhwa is made entirely from domestically grown rice and contains no added distilled alcohol, preserving the authentic taste of cheongju. It features a subtle aroma of fruit and rice. Its clean aftertaste does not overpower the natural flavors of ingredients, making it a great match for various dishes. With an alcohol content of 14%, it can be enjoyed without burden. Baekhwa is available nationwide at Lotte Mart and Lotte Super.
The newly released Baekhwa is the second product launched by Lotte Chilsung Beverage in collaboration with the Kansong Art Museum, featuring the label artwork ‘Wolhajeongin’ by Hye-won Shin Yun-bok, one of the three great genre painters of the late Joseon Dynasty.
A representative from Lotte Chilsung Beverage said, “Recently, traditional liquors such as Makgeolli and distilled spirits have been gaining interest, especially among younger generations. Through Baekhwa, a collaborative product with the Kansong Art Foundation, we hope to increase interest in cheongju, the foundation of traditional liquors.”
