Foundation for Becoming a Global Digital Finance Hub... Busan City Signs Agreement with Virtual Asset Exchanges 'Crypto.com' and 'Gate.io'
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] On the 26th at 4 PM, Busan City will sign a business agreement with overseas virtual asset exchanges ‘Crypto.com’ and ‘Gate.io’ at the International Protocol Room on the 7th floor of City Hall to establish Busan as a global digital finance hub city.
Attending the agreement ceremony today will be Busan Mayor Park Hyung-joon, Crypto.com Chief Operating Officer Eric Anziani, Gate.io CEO Han Rin, and other related officials. The ceremony will be held sequentially, with Crypto.com at 4 PM and Gate.io at 4:30 PM.
‘Crypto.com’ possesses technologies related to digital asset payments, currency exchange, and remittances, while ‘Gate.io’ is one of the world’s top 10 digital asset exchanges, holding unique technologies such as digital asset mispayment prevention and cryptocurrency wallet solutions.
Through this agreement, various blockchain projects will be promoted to develop Busan into a global digital finance hub city, and efforts will be combined to establish the Busan Digital Asset Exchange.
The city will receive technical and infrastructure support for establishing the Busan Digital Asset Exchange, while Crypto.com and Gate.io plan to establish Korean branches in Busan and set up blockchain technology training research centers.
Additionally, Crypto.com will support the nurturing of blockchain startups, and Gate.io plans to train 1,000 blockchain technicians annually, jointly cooperating and investing to foster Busan’s blockchain industry.
