FKCCI Hosts Korean Entrepreneurship Exploration Program Inviting Ambassadors to Korea
Request for Support from Attending Ambassadors to Host the 2030 Busan Expo
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Pyeonghwa] The Federation of Korean Industries announced that from the 25th for two days, it will conduct the 'Korean Entrepreneurship Exploration Program Inviting Ambassadors of Major Countries in Korea' in Seungsan Village, Jinju, Gyeongnam, as well as in Changwon and Sacheon.
This program was prepared to enhance the understanding of the Korean economy and enterprises among foreign diplomatic missions in Korea and to request support for the '2030 Busan World Expo.' It also aims to introduce Korea's leading companies in the aerospace sector and promote the excellence of K-defense industry.
The tour includes ambassadors to Korea from seven countries, including Ekaterini Loupas, Ambassador of Greece, and C?sar-Magnole Armeanu, Ambassador of Romania, as well as Sierra Leone, Myanmar, Brunei, Dominica, and Algeria. The ambassadors will visit Seungsan Village, the birthplace of enterprises, Hanwha Aerospace's Changwon plant, and Korea Aerospace Industries (KAI) located in Sacheon, Gyeongnam, over a one-night, two-day period.
Huh Chang-soo, chairman of the Federation of Korean Industries, welcomed the ambassadors visiting Seungsan Village, where the birthplaces of founders of major companies leading the domestic economy are gathered. Seungsan Village is home to the birthplaces of many entrepreneurs, including Huh Joon-gu, founder of GS, and Gu In-hoe, founder of LG. There is also Jisu Elementary School (closed in 2009), which was attended by Lee Byung-chul, founder of Samsung Group, and Cho Hong-je, founder of Hyosung Group.
Chairman Huh said, "As Korea has become one of the world's top 10 economies through the entrepreneurial spirit originating from Seungsan Village, I ask for your active support for the Expo bid so that these achievements can be showcased at the 2030 Busan Expo."
He added, "I hope that the visit to global defense industry company Hanwha Aerospace and Korea Aerospace Industries will help the attending ambassadors deepen their understanding of Korean companies," and "I also hope cooperation for the introduction of K-defense with major countries will be strengthened."

Kim Bong-man, head of the Federation of Korean Industries' International Headquarters, said, "We hope to create a positive perception of the Korean economy and companies among the ambassadors in Korea, which will help revive the Korean economy and export vitality and support Korean companies' advancement into their countries," and added, "We intend to actively work toward securing the Expo bid targeting the diplomatic missions in Korea, including the attending ambassadors."
