[The Asia Business Daily Yeongnam News Bureau, Reporter Yeo Jonggu] The National Institute for Korean Medicine Development has received an A grade for two consecutive years in the 2022 management performance evaluation of other public institutions, organized by the Ministry of Health and Welfare.
This evaluation, which targeted 18 other public institutions under the Ministry of Health and Welfare, awarded A grades to eight institutions, including the National Institute for Korean Medicine Development.
In this evaluation, the National Institute for Korean Medicine Development received high marks in the following areas: indicator management, monitoring, and feedback; discovery of new projects through employee participation; active utilization of the expertise of non-executive directors; promotion of an anti-corruption and integrity culture; improvement of working conditions for non-regular employees; organizational and human resource reallocation reflecting the '4th Comprehensive Plan for the Promotion and Development of Korean Medicine'; securing and executing budgets to create future value and foster the Korean medicine industry; and excellence in social value areas such as strengthening public interest, win-win cooperation, and contributing to the local economy.
Jung Changhyun, President of the National Institute for Korean Medicine Development, stated, "This achievement is the result of all members working together with one mind, even under the challenging conditions of COVID-19," and added, "We will continue to actively communicate with our clients as a leading institution for the advancement of the Korean medicine industry, creating future value and making significant contributions to the development of the industry."
The National Institute for Korean Medicine Development is focusing on developing innovative technologies for the scientific advancement and standardization of Korean medicine, driving innovative growth in the Korean medicine industry, strengthening international competitiveness as a WHO Collaborating Center for Traditional Medicine, promoting Korean medicine-based health care, building big data for clinical information in Korean medicine, and enhancing health and welfare centered on Korean medicine through the improvement of medical services.
