Chungnam, Joint Public-Private Inspection for 'Price Stability Management'
[Asia Economy (Hongseong) Reporter Jeong Il-woong] Chungnam Province has formed a public-private joint inspection team to conduct on-site inspections for price stabilization management until the 31st of this month.
According to the province on the 24th, the inspection is carried out to examine the implementation status of price displays related to local public utility charges and personal service fees directly connected to the livelihood of ordinary citizens.
The inspection team consists of provincial and city/county officials, consumer organizations, and others, and will check whether there are plans to adjust local public utility charges and the implementation status of outdoor price displays for personal service fees.
They will also inspect the progress of the Good Price Store activation project and plan to request cooperation for stabilizing dining costs during meetings with local dining industry organizations.
In particular, the province will strengthen cooperation by inducing the freezing of local public utility charges in the second half of the year, encouraging the use of Good Price Stores to stabilize personal service fees, and conducting campaigns with business operators and consumer organizations to create an atmosphere of price stability.
Meanwhile, last month, the consumer price index in the province recorded 110.284 due to rising prices of agricultural products and dining costs.

This represents an increase of 0.4% compared to the previous month and 5.8% compared to the same period last year (cumulative). The province expects that the upward trend in prices will continue for the time being due to the impact of abnormal weather and rising international raw material prices.
