Ihaksoo Jeongeup Mayor Urges Creation of Safe Tourism Environment at Executive Meeting

The mayor requested, “Please conduct thorough pre-hygiene inspections targeting restaurants and lodging facilities near Naejangsan, which attracts many tourists during the recreational season, and Jeongeupcheon where the light festival is held, so that business owners and workers can welcome guests in a comfortable environment.”

In particular, he asked to comply with food handling standards such as price labeling and expiration dates, and to promote worker friendliness and hygiene education to enhance the satisfaction of visitors to the region.

Along with this, he also urged employees to make efforts to provide definite feedback when handling civil complaints and to improve civil complaint satisfaction.

The mayor said, “To realize civil complaint services trusted by citizens, please respond quickly and sincerely from the complainant’s perspective with a thorough understanding of the complaint during the handling process, and do your best to improve satisfaction by strictly adhering to procedures and compliance requirements.”

He added, “As dry weather continues recently and the number of autumn outing crowds increases, I ask you to be thorough in monitoring activities such as wildfire prevention publicity and crackdowns on agricultural waste burning.”

He emphasized, “Please prepare wildfire prevention operation plans for each eup, myeon, and dong, and establish a thorough initial firefighting system plan to minimize damage in case of wildfire occurrence, doing your best to protect citizens’ lives and property.”
