[2nd Report] One North Korean Vessel Violates West Sea NLL at Dawn
[Asia Economy Yang Nak-gyu, Military Specialist Reporter] In the early morning of the 24th, a North Korean merchant ship crossed the Northern Limit Line (NLL) in the West Sea and retreated after receiving warning shots from the military.
The Joint Chiefs of Staff stated, "At around 3:42 a.m. on the same day, a North Korean merchant ship (ship name: Mu Pohyo) crossed the NLL about 27 km northwest of Baengnyeongdo in the West Sea, and our military took measures to expel it through warning communications and warning shots."
The military is investigating the circumstances, regarding the ship's crossing of the NLL as an 'infringement.'

Earlier, in March of this year, a situation occurred where a North Korean ship and a pursuing patrol boat both crossed the NLL near Baengnyeongdo. On November 27, 2019, a 'defecting' ship was discovered entering southward below the NLL northwest of Baengnyeongdo and was expelled.
