Gwangjin-gu Achieves Top 'S Grade' in 2022 Government Joint Evaluation
Government Joint Evaluation: Selected as Excellent Autonomous District for 6 Consecutive Years... Secured Over 33 Million Won in Financial Support
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Gwangjin-gu (Mayor Kim Kyung-ho) achieved the great feat of being selected as an 'Excellent Autonomous District for 6 Consecutive Years' by receiving the highest grade, S grade, in the '2022 Government Joint Evaluation' hosted by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety.
The Government Joint Evaluation is a system that comprehensively evaluates national delegated tasks, national subsidy projects, and major national policies carried out over the past year across 17 metropolitan cities and provinces nationwide. The Ministry of the Interior and Safety leads the evaluation of local governments' performance in cooperation with 21 central government ministries.
Based on the results from the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, Seoul City selected 25 autonomous districts into S, A, and B grades according to the achievement level and effort of evaluation indicators. As a result, Gwangjin-gu received the highest S grade and secured approximately 33 million KRW in financial support.
To achieve the evaluation goals, Gwangjin-gu has made systematic and continuous efforts such as analyzing indicator formulas and monitoring for focused performance management, holding reporting meetings to manage progress, and conducting training for project managers.
Accordingly, the district showed high performance in indicators such as ▲budget execution rate of community service investment projects ▲support rate for childcare services ▲efforts to support out-of-school youth ▲establishment and operation performance of youth harmful environment monitoring system ▲completeness of epidemiological investigations ▲amount of recyclable waste separated per resident, thereby achieving the highest grade.
