Free 1-Hour Ttareungi Ride Coupon for 3,000 Users When Using Autonomous Cars Until Year-End
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Cheol-young] The Seoul Metropolitan Government announced on the 23rd that starting from the 21st, it will hold an event in Sangam where all passengers using autonomous vehicles in collaboration with '42dot' will receive free Ttareungi usage coupons.
Currently, there are 7 autonomous vehicles operating on 4 routes in Sangam, and passengers can receive free Ttareungi coupons when riding autonomous vehicles on all routes.
To participate in this free Ttareungi coupon event, citizens must download the Seoul autonomous vehicle exclusive call app (TAP!), developed through public-private cooperation by the city and 42dot, from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store.
By signing up and registering a payment method in the app, anyone can call and use autonomous vehicles in real time, and once the ride is completed, Ttareungi coupons are automatically sent to passengers via text message.
The first ride using TAP! to call an autonomous vehicle is free, and from the second ride onward, autonomous buses charge 1,200 KRW per person, while other passenger vehicles charge a flat rate of 2,000 KRW per trip regardless of the number of passengers, with only the base fare applied regardless of travel distance.
