Jeonnam Governor Kim Young-rok Embarks on First Japan Visit Since COVID-19 Pandemic
Attendance at the Korea-Japan Strait Coastal Provincial Exchange Council Meeting... Promoting the Charm of Jeonnam Tourism
[Muan=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] Kim Young-rok, Governor of Jeollanam-do, will depart for Japan on the 22nd to attend the 30th Korea-Japan Strait Coastal Prefectures and Provinces Governors' Meeting and to hold a Jeollanam-do tourism briefing session.
According to Jeollanam-do on the 21st, Governor Kim will attend the 30th Korea-Japan Strait Coastal Prefectures and Provinces Governors' Meeting held in Osaka for two days until the 23rd, where he will give a presentation under the theme "Jeollanam-do, a Global Carbon Neutral New Industry Hub."
This meeting, the first face-to-face event since COVID-19, will be attended by governors from eight prefectures and provinces including Jeollanam-do, Gyeongsangnam-do, Busan, Jeju Island, and Japan's Fukuoka, Saga Prefecture, Yamaguchi Prefecture, and Nagasaki Prefecture.
They will deliver keynote presentations on green growth promotion strategies and announce a joint statement.
Governor Kim will then attend the Jeollanam-do tourism briefing session held in Osaka on the 24th, where he will actively promote Jeollanam-do's diverse tourism attractions, flavors, and charm to about 100 people including travel industry professionals, related organizations, compatriots, and residents abroad. The tourism briefing will include the appointment of honorary ambassadors, a Jeollanam-do tourism promotional presentation, introduction of Jeollanam-do gourmet tourism travel products, and tourism promotion consultations.
