Lotte Department Store Gwangju Branch Donates All Flea Market Proceeds to Local Community

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Shin Dong-ho] Lotte Department Store Gwangju Branch (Manager Jeon Il-ho) recently attracted attention by donating all the proceeds from a flea market participated by employees, as well as daily necessities, to the local community.

On the 21st, according to the Gwangju branch, all the proceeds from selling about 1,000 items voluntarily donated by employees to raise funds at this flea market were donated to ‘Gwangju Yeongsinwon,’ a child welfare facility in Dong-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City.

The flea market, first held last year, received great response from employees for its purpose of serving the local community, and this year’s flea market saw about twice the amount of donated goods and funds compared to last year, with increased participation enthusiasm.

Jeon Il-ho, manager of Lotte Department Store Gwangju Branch, said, “The flea market event to help underprivileged neighbors was carried out with active participation from Gwangju branch employees,” and added, “Lotte Department Store Gwangju Branch will continue various social contribution activities to share the love received from the local community.”
