Gwangju Buk-gu Supports Safe Home Sets for Single Women Households and Others
Support for Crime Prevention Items Such as Home Cameras and Door Sensors Available Until the 31st
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yukbong] Buk-gu, Gwangju City announced on the 20th that it will provide Safe Home Sets to crime-vulnerable households such as single female households.
This support is part of creating a Women’s Safe Village where women can live with peace of mind and was promoted to prevent the recent surge in crimes targeting women.
The support targets ▲single female households ▲single-parent families ▲households that have reported crimes such as residential intrusion, supporting 180 households. Only households residing in rental homes with a deposit of 120 million KRW or less and having lived in Buk-gu for more than one year can apply.
The Safe Home Set includes ▲home cameras ▲auxiliary door locks ▲auxiliary window locks ▲door opening sensors, from which applicants can select three items according to their residential environment.
Applications can be submitted by visiting the Dong Administrative Welfare Center or the Women and Family Division, or by mail, until the 31st of this month.
Director Moon said, “I hope that through this Safe Home Set support, an environment where women can live more safely will be created,” and added, “We will continue to discover and promote various policies and welfare services to improve the quality of life for women.”
Meanwhile, Buk-gu has established a network of village safety project promotion organizations with the Women-Friendly Citizen Participation Group, Bukbu Police Station, and related organizations, and is organically cooperating on various projects to create a women’s safe village safe from crime.
