FKCCI Provides Strategic HR Approaches for ESG Management to Companies
[Asia Economy Reporter Sunmi Park] The FKI Small and Medium Business Cooperation Center announced on the 19th that it conducted the second session of the 'FKI Business Class' special lecture.
'FKI Business Class' is a series of six free training sessions planned by the Center and the Federation of Korean Industries to help companies survive and grow amid rapidly changing business environments. It covers the latest management trends such as major accident prevention and digital transformation.
In this session, labor attorney Jang Jinna from Labor Corporation Hyeonyul presented on the topic of ‘Strategic HR Approaches in the ESG Era,’ discussing institutional indicators and management cases related to ESG diagnosis, evaluation, and disclosure both domestically and internationally.
Attorney Jang introduced strategic methods for promoting ESG management by citing recent cases of workplace harassment occurring continuously in companies and public institutions, stating, “Most companies have reflected workplace harassment prevention and response measures in their employment regulations. However, in practice, appropriate responses are not made, leading to legal procedures or public controversies in the media.”
She added, “For ESG management, it is necessary to establish human rights and ethical regulations that exceed legal requirements, and to respond proactively and preemptively by establishing CEO-led organizations and preventive systems such as reporting channels.”

She especially emphasized the need to continuously manage and review the company’s implementation status based on the diagnostic items of the K-ESG guidelines.
