Since 2012, Kyobo Life Insurance has held the KWIN (Korea Women’s Innovative Network) conference annually with the theme of D&I (Diversity & Inclusion).
This year, marking the eleventh conference, it was expanded to a DE&I conference linked with ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) management. DE&I (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion), a key topic of ESG, was selected as the theme, and programs connected to Kyobo Life Insurance’s sustainable management philosophy were planned.
A hybrid method was introduced, conducting the conference simultaneously both in-person and online (webinar), and interactive programs such as invited lectures, case presentations, and panel forums were expanded to facilitate mutual communication.
About 150 executives and employees from Kyobo Life Insurance and its affiliates attended the conference, and a total of approximately 400 people participated, including about 250 who watched live via Webex.
In the first session, Kim Hee-jung, CEO of Jjaegakak-eo, Jeon Eun-hee, team leader at Kyobo Life Insurance, and Han Jeong-su, director at Kyobo Securities, gave a special lecture titled ‘Acknowledging Differences and Sharing Experiences of Successful Women Leaders.’
Following this, Professor Heo Tae-gyun of Korea University delivered an expert lecture on ‘Understanding the Meaning and Necessity of DE&I Considering Psychological Traits and Relationships,’ focusing on forming positive and developmental relationships through diversity inclusion.
