Gwangju National Science Museum Hosts AI Exploration Club Achievement Presentation
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Jin-hyung] The National Gwangju Science Museum announced on the 18th that it successfully held the performance presentation of the AI Exploration Activity Support Project on the 15th.
At the science museum's outdoor booth, a performance presentation was held, where 95 members from 9 school AI clubs introduced the outcomes of their exploration activities utilizing AI technology.
Many visitors came to the booth to experience and listen to explanations of the products developed by the clubs, showing great interest in artificial intelligence.
On site, products that creatively solved everyday problems by applying AI, such as AI autonomous driving go-karts (Gwangdeok High School), motion control robots through image processing (Jisan Middle School), and AI-based optimized traffic lights (Salesio Middle School), received high praise.
Jeon Tae-ho, Acting Director, stated, “We are working hard to build AI infrastructure and spread scientific culture, including the opening of the AI Hall early next year,” and added, “We will continue to support youth so they can realize creative ideas using AI technology and strive to nurture AI talents.”

The AI Exploration Activity Support Project aimed to cultivate basic AI literacy and support career exploration through AI exploration club support. From March to April, clubs were recruited from elementary, middle, and high schools in the Honam region (Gwangju, Jeonnam, Jeonbuk), and a total of 9 clubs were finally selected to carry out exploration activities.
