The Publication Promotion Agency Operates the Korea Electronic Publishing Pavilion at the 2022 Frankfurt International Book Fair
[Asia Economy Reporter Seomideum] The Korea Publication Culture Industry Promotion Agency will participate in the 2022 Frankfurt International Book Fair (Frankfurt Buchmesse), held in Frankfurt, Germany, from the 19th to the 23rd.
Every year, more than 7,500 publishers from over 100 countries gather to exchange book cultures through 'books' at the world's largest book fair and book culture festival. This year marks the 74th edition, with Spain as the guest of honor.
The theme of this year's fair, resuming offline after three years, is 'Translation.' It signifies the expectation that the act of translating into different languages, media, contexts, and new ways of thinking will enable genuine exchange across borders and cultures.
At the Korea Electronic Publishing Pavilion (Hall 6.1, A52) organized by the Publication Promotion Agency, various domestic electronic publishing companies with global competitiveness will participate and present a joint exhibition. The electronic publishing companies participating in the Korea Electronic Publishing Pavilion include ▲Baramgil (paper books and multimedia e-books) ▲iWingTV (multimedia e-books utilizing IoT devices) ▲iPortfolio (English education mobile app books for children) ▲K-Styles (animated story app books and online libraries) ▲Toytron (interactive reading books for early childhood education), totaling five companies. Active export consultations will be conducted with overseas publishing officials during the book fair.

A representative from the Publication Promotion Agency stated, “As this year's Frankfurt International Book Fair is the first major fair held after the pandemic, we hope it will not only help open overseas markets for Korea's leading electronic publishing content and technology but also serve as an opportunity to revive the exchange of diverse book cultures that had been lacking. We will promote the activation of domestic electronic publishing through various supports, including participation in this Frankfurt International Book Fair.”
