[Yeosu=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Cheol-hoon] The ‘2022 Yeosu Night Sea Fireworks Festival’ will be held on the 22nd from 6:30 PM at Yi Sun-sin Square and the waters in front of Janggun-do in Yeosu.
Held for the first time in three years under the theme ‘We, Again Yeosu Night Sea,’ this festival was organized to comfort the hearts of citizens exhausted by COVID-19 and to talk about new hope.
The event will proceed in the order of pre-performance, drone light show, opening ceremony, fireworks show, and busking performance. In particular, the highlight of the festival, the fireworks show, will beautifully decorate the Yeosu night sea for 40 minutes.
Meanwhile, Yeosu City (Mayor Jeong Gi-myeong) has established comprehensive measures for safety, traffic, and waste management at the event site to create a clean and safe festival.
First, professional safety personnel will be deployed in expanded numbers in each viewing area, and nine zero-waste zones will be operated.
Additionally, to minimize traffic congestion around Jungang-dong, traffic near the event site will be controlled, and special traffic measures have been prepared, including securing 21 temporary and public parking lots with about 3,700 spaces.
Mayor Jeong Gi-myeong of Yeosu said, “We have prepared a unique fireworks show that will illuminate the romantic Yeosu night sea. Various programs such as the drone light show and busking performances will also be held, and I hope everyone creates happy memories that will last a lifetime at the beautiful Yeosu night sea.”
