View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Hyewon] Kolmar Korea announced on the 14th that sales of lip tint products increased by 164% in the period from January to September this year compared to the same period last year. In particular, the lip tint product launched in February in collaboration with the client company Lakacosmetic saw a 154% surge in sales compared to the launch month, driving overall sales growth in the lip tint category.
Kolmar Korea's products incorporate the 'Water Glam Balance formula' technology. This is Kolmar Korea's proprietary formulation stabilization technology that incorporates a high concentration of high-gloss oil into a light, low-viscosity texture. Through this technology, Kolmar Korea improved the sticky and highly viscous drawbacks of existing high-gloss tint products, developing products that apply lightly while maintaining gloss.
Sales of lipstick products also rose by 150% compared to the previous year. The lipsticks introduced earlier this year, which enhanced color payoff and durability, led the sales growth. These products solve the inconvenience of having to reapply because the initial color applied to the lips and the residual color differ. The technology applied to these products ensures that the color applied to the lips remains consistent over time.
The principle involves forming a dual moisturizing layer on the lips using high-moisture oil components and natural moisturizers that mix well with water. It is a type of coating technology that prevents color from fading on the lips, allowing each moisturizing ingredient to melt at lip temperature. The patent application has been completed, and overseas patent applications are planned.
