Gwangju City Holds 'Youth University City Gwangju' Video Contest
30 Seconds to 5 Minutes Duration Including Various Locations in Gwangju and at Least One Regional University
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] Gwangju Metropolitan City announced on the 13th that it will hold the ‘Youth University City Gwangju’ video contest to discover various urban attraction contents in collaboration with local universities.
This contest was planned to promote ‘Youth University City Gwangju’ nationwide by combining the charm of 18 universities located in Gwangju and the appeal of ‘Gwangju, the City of Opportunities Where Your Future Shines.’
The theme is promotional content that can introduce Gwangju as a university city full of youth and romance nationwide, including ▲advantages of universities unique to Gwangju ▲campus life ▲the charm of Gwangju universities as seen by international students.
Videos should be between 30 seconds and 5 minutes long and must include various locations in Gwangju and at least one local university.
Anyone, including university students and international students, can participate.
To apply, post the video on personal social media (SNS) or YouTube, then submit the original video file along with the application documents to the Gwangju City Talent Development Division from October 20 to November 15.
The judging criteria include relevance to the theme, completeness, artistry, and creativity. After the first round of expert judging, the final nine works will be selected by combining the first round scores with audience jury scores in the second round.
The total prize money is 10 million KRW, awarded as follows: ▲Grand Prize 1 work (Mayor’s Award · 3 million KRW) ▲Excellence Award 1 work (Mayor’s Award · 2 million KRW) ▲Merit Award 2 works (Mayor’s Award · 1 million KRW each) ▲Special Foreign Student Award 1 work (Mayor’s Award · 1 million KRW) ▲Encouragement Award 4 works (500,000 KRW each).
The winning works will be announced on the Gwangju City website in early December.
