Gwangju Seo-gu Collects Residents' Opinions on 'Pungam Lake Water Quality Improvement'
Collecting Opinions from Residents of 7 Nearby Neighborhoods... To Be Delivered to the City
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Shin Dong-ho] Seo-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City announced on the 13th that it will directly collect residents' opinions regarding the Pungam Lake water quality improvement project, which is being promoted by Gwangju City as part of the private park special project.
Seo-gu plans to gather opinions from residents of seven neighborhoods near Pungam Lake (Pungam-dong, Geumho 1·2-dong, Hwajeong 2·3-dong, Sangmu 2-dong) and propose them to Gwangju City.
Kim Yi-gang, head of Seo-gu Office, said, "The Pungam Lake water quality improvement project is a project being promoted through consultation and decision between Gwangju City and private businesses, but it is also a major local issue closely related to the lives of our residents," adding, "Although Seo-gu is not the decision-making body for the project, we will serve as a communication channel to ensure that residents' opinions are sufficiently reflected in the project."
