‘Daengdaeng Train’ is a product planned to meet the diversified demand for travel with pets due to the increasing population of pet owners. With the cooperation of Korea Railroad Corporation, the entire temporary train is rented and operated. The product is composed of two options: a day trip (November 6 and 20) and a 1-night 2-day trip (November 13-14, December 4-5). The day trip itinerary includes boarding a dedicated train at Seoul Station to arrive at Yeongwol Station, visiting Yeondangwon, Youngdeundal Wi Park, Yeongwol Tourism Center, and Cheongryeongpo Observatory. The 1-night 2-day itinerary involves arriving at Jeongseon Mindungsan Station, staying overnight at High1 Resort, and touring the Jeongseon area including Jeongseon Time Capsule Park.
On two caf? cars, experience booths such as the ‘Pet Dog Behavior Counseling Center’ where you can consult with pet dog experts, the ‘Nutrition Counseling Corner’ with veterinarians, the ‘Commemorative Postcard Experience Zone’ where you can stamp your pet dog’s paw print and send postcards, and the ‘Daengdaeng Train Photo Zone’ featuring the train concept and Gangwon-do tourist sites will be operated. Additionally, promotional booths for pet-related products will be set up, and a specialized pet dog guide will accompany the trip to ensure safe travel.
Reservations for the product can be made through Pets Go Travel until the departure date, with a maximum capacity of 200 people per trip.
After the project ends, the organization plans to donate pet food equivalent to the distance (km) traveled by the train to animal shelters in Gangwon-do as part of a social contribution activity in partnership with the pet food company Royal Canin.
