At the event, Kim Intae, CEO of NH Nonghyup Life Insurance, and Yoon Dongsup, Director of Yonsei Medical Center, attended and held the signing ceremony.
Through this agreement, NH Nonghyup Life Insurance and Yonsei Medical Center will conduct medical examinations and check-ups for about 10,000 farmers by touring rural areas nationwide over four years from 2023 to 2026.
NH Nonghyup Life Insurance plans to invest 2.5 billion KRW over four years starting in 2023 to promote this project.
To provide the best medical services, a dedicated mobile clinic bus will be purchased, and various examination equipment such as electrocardiograms, ultrasound, dental treatment devices, and medication dispensing equipment will be newly acquired.
The medical staff will consist of about 20 specialists and nurses from various departments including cardiology, gastroenterology, dentistry, and rehabilitation medicine.
Pharmacists and physical therapists will also accompany the team to enable immediate prescriptions and simple treatments. If abnormalities such as serious diseases are detected during treatment, they will coordinate with Severance Hospital to refer patients to specialized medical staff for follow-up care including treatment and surgery.
The rural medical support project is a unique volunteer activity by NH Nonghyup Life Insurance conducted from a welfare promotion perspective to improve the health of farmers and insurance policyholders and prevent accidents. It provides medical benefits mainly to rural areas with weak medical infrastructure by linking with large hospitals.
In connection with the rural medical support project, free longevity portrait photography will also be offered. This program, which involves professional photographers and stylists, has high satisfaction and positive responses.
