According to the police and fire department, at 11:07 PM on the 12th, a fire occurred on the third floor of a multi-family house in Deungchon-dong, Gangseo-gu, Seoul, where Mr. A (75) and his wife (72), who lived there, died.
The couple was found unconscious and not breathing in the master bedroom and was taken to the hospital but ultimately passed away.
Additionally, the fire caused a commotion as five residents evacuated the building.

The police and fire authorities are investigating the exact cause and circumstances of the fire based on residents' statements that a large amount of smoke was coming from the third floor.
