View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Kwak Minjae] Black box manufacturer Thinkware announced on the 11th that it will supply AR navigation solutions for the ARRIZO 8 vehicle newly introduced by Chinese automaker Chery Automobile. This marks the third achievement since Thinkware first entered the Chinese B2B market last year by supplying AR navigation solutions to Chery Automobile's ‘TIGGO 8 Plus’ and ‘JIETU X70 Plus’ vehicles.
The ARRIZO 8 is a high-end luxury sedan produced by Chery Automobile. The AR navigation solution actively recognizes road conditions and lanes in real-time based on the original DVR (digital video recorder) footage without separate route line information, providing optimal route guidance tailored to the driving road and linked with the vehicle's onboard ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System).
The solution also applies hypervisor technology that allows the augmented reality screen to switch between the digital cluster or AVN, enhancing visibility. Another advantage is that it uses fewer resources for video processing data analysis, making the program lightweight and responsive. Developed as a library solution similar to a game engine, it can be integrated into other companies' navigation systems as well as utilized in head-up displays and AR glasses.
