Baxter Korea Appoints Im Kwang-hyuk as New CEO
[Asia Economy Reporter Chunhee Lee] Baxter Korea, the Korean subsidiary of Baxter International, announced on the 11th that it has appointed Lim Kwang-hyuk, Vice President of the Renal Division, as the new CEO.
New CEO Lim Kwang-hyuk joined Baxter in 2018 as the head of the Renal Division, overseeing peritoneal dialysis, hemodialysis, acute kidney injury business operations, and Commercial Excellence (CE). He was promoted to Vice President in 2019. Lim has been recognized for contributing to the continuous growth of Baxter Korea by successfully launching key products in the renal division and leading various strategic initiatives.
CEO Lim is a healthcare industry expert with extensive experience in sales, marketing, and business strategy at major global pharmaceutical companies such as MSD Korea and BMS Korea. He joined MSD Korea in 2000, handling sales and marketing for ophthalmology and neuropsychiatry treatments, and later served as leader of the Diversified business unit. At BMS Korea, he oversaw the business strategy department and the oncology and specialty business units. From 2014, he served as CEO of MSD Korea Animal Health for four years, successfully launching key new products and growing the business.
In addition to his rich experience in marketing and general management, CEO Lim is expected to drive Baxter Korea’s future growth with his strong execution skills and outstanding leadership demonstrated while successfully leading the renal division at Baxter Korea.
