Jeju Air "Mongolia Route Load Factor 86%... Highest Among National Airlines"
[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Hyun-seok] Jeju Air announced on the 11th that it recorded an average load factor of 86.2% on the Incheon-Ulaanbaatar route. The Incheon-Ulaanbaatar route is Jeju Air's first regular Korea-Mongolia route and the first new route launched since COVID-19.
According to Jeju Air, using the transportation rights allocated by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport in April, it operated a total of 53 round trips on a four-times-a-week schedule from June 29 to September 29.
During this period, it carried 17,273 passengers and showed a load factor of 86.2%, recording the highest load factor among domestic airlines operating the route.
Jeju Air recorded an average load factor of 82.2% from the first month of operation on the route, followed by 86.9% and 89.9% in August and September, respectively.

Jeju Air cited the increase in passenger convenience through reasonable pricing as the main factor for its stable market settlement with a high load factor. A Jeju Air official said, “With Jeju Air's launch of the Incheon-Mongolia route, a true multi-airline system has been established, allowing consumers to travel to Mongolia at more affordable prices.”
