Shinhwa's Shin Hye-sung Arrested for Refusing Breathalyzer Test in Stolen Vehicle
Refusal of Breathalyzer Test and Theft Charges under the Road Traffic Act
[Asia Economy Reporter Jang Sehee] Shin Hye-sung of Shinhwa was arrested after refusing a breathalyzer test. Shin was driving a vehicle reported stolen.
On the 11th, the Songpa Police Station in Seoul announced that at around 1:40 a.m., Shin was arrested near Tancheon 2 Bridge in Songpa-gu on charges of refusing a breathalyzer test under the Road Traffic Act and theft.
The police responded to a report that "a vehicle was stopped in the middle of the road" and found Shin sleeping inside the car. They requested a breathalyzer test, but Shin refused.
The vehicle Shin was driving was confirmed to have been reported stolen.

Meanwhile, Shin was previously caught in April 2007 for drunk driving. His blood alcohol concentration at the time was 0.097%, which corresponds to a license suspension under the standards then. Shin, who debuted as the main vocalist of the group Shinhwa in 1998, has recently been active as a solo artist and has appeared on variety shows.
