He also plans to make every effort to secure additional national funding.
During the past 100 days, Governor Nam has been attending to key issues such as the construction project of Ulleung Airport, the LPG pipeline project, the development of Chusan Yongcheon mineral water, revitalization of Ulleung tourism, and concentrating administrative efforts on disaster response in preparation for typhoons.
Going forward, he will focus on building infrastructure to accommodate 1 million tourists based on five major policies: an open county administration where residents are the owners, inclusive hopeful welfare, a local economy blooming with smiles, new-value agriculture and fisheries, and attractive ecological tourism. He also intends to devote full efforts to the smooth progress of previously initiated projects such as the establishment of Ulleung Airport and the operation of large passenger ships on the Ulleung route.
