Kibo Awarded the 'Korea Education Donation Grand Prize'
Recognized for Efforts to Expand ESG Management through Science and Technology Talent Development Education Donation
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] The Korea Technology Finance Corporation (Chairman Kim Jong-ho, hereinafter referred to as Kibo) announced on the 7th that it received the 'Korea Education Donation Award' at the 11th Education Donation Expo hosted by the Ministry of Education, recognizing its contribution to nurturing science and technology talents.
The Korea Education Donation Award is given to institutions that have made significant contributions to the development of the nation and local communities through social contribution activities related to education donations. Kibo received the grand prize in recognition of its efforts and achievements in promoting various donation activities for nurturing science and technology talents through win-win cooperation with local communities and universities.
Kibo has established a 'Science and Technology Experience Center' on the first floor of its headquarters, providing free science programs annually to about 10,000 local elementary, middle, and high school students. It also operates the 'Youth Technology Evaluation Experience Group,' offering on-site experience opportunities at small and venture companies to about 200 young job seekers each year. There is also the 'University Student Technology Startup Practical Education' through talent donation by Kibo's PhD-level personnel. Additionally, Kibo runs various programs such as the 'Venture Startup Classroom' and 'Kibo Venture Camp' for entrepreneurs, fulfilling its social responsibilities as a public institution and striving to spread ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) management.
