Dabang Partners with Seoul City to Provide Jeonse and Monthly Rent Information
[Asia Economy Reporter Minyoung Kim] 'Dabang,' the largest real estate platform in Korea, is partnering with the Seoul Metropolitan Government to provide tenants with essential public data.
Station3, the operator of Dabang, announced on the 5th that it has signed a business agreement with the Seoul Metropolitan Government to enhance the utilization of market information for jeonse and monthly rent.
This agreement was established to promote the stability of the jeonse and monthly rent market in Seoul and to alleviate information asymmetry based on mutual cooperation between Dabang and the Seoul Metropolitan Government for the public dissemination of market information.
The signing ceremony was held with key executives from each organization, including Station3 CEO Han Yusoon and Seoul Metropolitan Government Housing Policy Director Yoo Changsoo.
Through this agreement, Dabang will receive from the Seoul Metropolitan Government ▲ forecast information on jeonse and monthly rental supply needed by tenants when signing contracts ▲ jeonse price ratios by district (25 autonomous districts) ▲ and jeonse-to-monthly rent conversion rates (25 autonomous districts).
The provided public data will be displayed on the Dabang application screen, allowing tenants to access necessary information during their room search process.

Station3 CEO Han Yusoon stated, "Due to information asymmetry, tenants, who are relatively weaker parties in the jeonse and monthly rent market, often suffer disadvantages. We plan to expand the safety net as a real estate platform company by providing intuitive and reliable public data to prevent them from engaging in unfavorable transactions."
